Tasmania
Wilderness Adventures offers two multi-day expeditions, both beginning with a 40 minute flight by light plane from Hobart Airport, landing at Melaleuca or Cox Bight, deep in the Southwest.
The 5 day Ketchem Bay walk offers easier walking and shorter days, although the coastal scenery of the Tasmanian World Heritage Area is no less spectacular and beautiful.
The 9 day South Coast Track is Australia’s finest wilderness coastal walk. Following an ancient route first trodden by Tasmanian Aboriginal people, the walk ascends the white quartzite spurs of the Ironbound Range, meanders along a dozen remote beaches, winds its way through tall eucalypt forest and finally reaches Cockle Creek, at the end of Australia’s most southerly road.
Richard Bennett can also tailor a walk to suit the interests and aspirations of your group.
Spend a few lost and wonderful days in harmony in one of the Earth’s most wonderful wild places – Wilderness Adventures puts Southwest Tasmania in reach of every adventurous soul, young or old.
