Richard Bennett constantly challenges himself to find the next chapter in his life, that new opportunity for him and his lenses. It is already a combination that has made him pre-eminent among photographers of Tasmania and Tasmanian life.

He grew up in Tasmania's Huon Valley, surrounded by the landscape that has become a passion, a passion as strong as that for the ocean and blue-water sailing.

His low level aerial photographs of every Sydney-Hobart yacht race fleet since 1974 make his images synonymous with the race itself.
